When will the tournaments take place?

NEW HAMPSHIRE:

February 21st

  • 4pm - 6pm et: Registration.
  • 6pm-9pm et - Welcome party (participants only).

February 22nd

  • 7:30am-5:00pm et day of tournament play. 

TORONTO:

February 28th

  • 4pm-6pm et - Registration.
  • 6pm - 9pm et Welcome party (participants only).

Feb 29th

  • 7:30am-5:00pm et day of tournament play. 

Where will the tournaments take place?

Feb 21/22 Lake Winnipesaukee, Meredith, NH.

Feb 28/29 Lake Muskoka, Gravenhurst, Ontario, CA.

Registration

How do I Register?

December 16, 2019 at 12:00pm EST - New Hampshire registration opens.

December 18, 2019 at 12:00pm EST - Toronto registration opens.

The cost to register is $1000 USD.

Only one player from your team (team captain) should visit www.barstoolpondhockey.com and register your team.  In order to confirm your registration, payment must be completed at the time of registration. 

Once you are registered, you will have 48 hours to complete your roster - this includes providing team jersey sizes and numbers.

PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU DO NOT GET INTO THIS YEAR'S TOURNAMENT, YOU CAN STILL REGISTER FOR THE WAITLIST AT NO COST.

What division should my team play in?

  • DIVISION A - Played junior A, NCAA college, pro levels.
  • DIVISION B - Played junior C or B, canadian college, NCAA D3 or club college levels (US).
  • DIVISION C - Played high school and or travel hockey.
  • DIVISION D - Played recreational, beginner level of play.

Teams can be made up of men, women or co-ed.

Is there a waitlist if my team doesn't make it?

Yes.  Please register to be on the waitlist at no cost.  You will only be charged if your team gets into the tournament.

Age requirements to play?

Must be 21+ to play in the New Hampshire tourney. 

Must be 19+ to play in the Toronto tourney.

How many games does my team get to play?

3 games guaranteed + playoff.  Please click here for more information.

What is the registration fee?

$1000 USD/team.  This fee must be made at the time of registration.

How many players on a team?

Minimum of 6 players, maximum of 8 Players.  4 players on the ice at one time.  Roster needs to be set within 48 hours of registration. 

Jersey size and numbers?

Barstool will provide a custom jersey for each participant.  Team Captains will have 48 hours after registration to provide jersey size and number for each teammate.

When are final rosters due?

Team captains have to provide full rosters 48 hours after registration. 

What do I get with my registration?

  • Each player gets a custom Barstool Pond Hockey jersey.
  • Welcome party (Friday night) with food and drinks provided.
  • 3 guaranteed games.
  • Drink tickets to be used on day of tournament.
  • Lunch on Game day.

Where can our team stay?

Barstool Sports has contracted rooms at each location at discounted rates for participants.

Where can we park on the day of the tournament?

NEW HAMPSHIRE

Most hotels are located right around the lake.  You can leave your car parked at hotel and walk/skate over to the lake.

If you are driving up day of, there will be a designated lot that you can park in with shuttle service to the rink. (Prescott Park, 335 Daniel Webster Hwy).

TORONTO

If you are staying at the Residence Inn Marriott, you can leave your car and walk/skate to the Lake.  The address is: 285 Steamship Bay Road, Gravenhurst, ON.

If you are driving up day of, you can park at the hotel or at Boston Pizza.  The address is: 1100 Bay Street, Gravenhurst, ON.

Will there be referees at the event?

Each rink will have a designated rink official.

Dates & Timing

What can I expect the day of the tournament?

For participants, each team will play 3 pool games between 8:00am-2:00pm.  If your team makes the playoffs, games will go until sundown.  There will be food and beverages available for purchase.  We will also provide drink tickets and lunch for participants. 

What happens if there is bad weather?

If the rinks are deemed unplayable by tournament officials,  game play will be moved to Sunday.

In the event that the entire weekend is cancelled, teams will be refunded a portion of their registration fee.

Spectators & Family

If I am not playing can I come to the event?

YES! SPECTATORS AND STOOLIES ARE WELCOME DAY OF THE TOURNAMENT (SATURDAY).  WATCHING THE HOCKEY IS FREE.  THERE WILL ALSO BE A LARGE PARTY AREA WHERE A $20 (USD in NH / CAD in TORONTO) ENTRY FEE WILL GET YOU TWO FREE DRINKS AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY GAMES, MEET BARSTOOL TALENT, AND WIN PRIZES.  DOORS OPEN AT 9am. 
 
THE FRIDAY NIGHT PARTY IS FOR PARTICIPANTS ONLY.

Can friends and family who are not 21+ come and watch?

Yes, they just cannot go into the designated bar area.

Will there be activities for spectators/stoolies?

Yes, we will have a rink designated for free skating along with other fun winter activities.
